Winter Training - Futsal Skill Development 2023
This winter, join BC Fire Soccer Club winter training program to improve your individual skills through Futsal, an indoor style of soccer that will certainly push your limits. The training sessions will be very technically focused with the goal to improve foot-skills and feel comfortable working in tight spaces.
Take a look at our winter training presentation (live document).
Sessions will be offered for the following groups:
- Goalkeepers
- U5 - U8 (YDL)
- U9 - U19
Additionally, participant athletes will be receiving 2 new experiences though this program; Assessment days and a newsletter. Our weekly newsletter, curated for athletes to enhance their winter training experience, will facilitate additional resources for athletes (and parents) to develop their understanding of soccer and improve further on their own time. Topics will include training recommendations, Futsal technique and tactics, soccer technique and tactics, sport psychology, careers in sport, college recruiting, and more.
Assessment days will be our way to provide constructive feedback to each participant athlete from data collected through technical tests. That way, in addition to daily feedback athletes receive from coaches during sessions, each athlete will be able to visualize where they are when they begin the program and results gained by the end of the program.
